Waimahu Retreat

Waimahu Retreat is Amazing! We booked a night stay last minute as we travelled up from Rotorua. Bryan & Julie are such lovely hosts. We were greeted with nice cold beverages after our travels and they made us feel welcomed straight away! Our room was nice and cozy! Our breakfast the next morning was delicious and made with alot of love! I'm 7 months pregnant & this experience was something my partner and I needed! Highly recommend and I can't wait to come back next time :)

My partner and I needed a break from our daily work lives...and surely we did get an amazing experience. The hosts Brian and Julie were very friendly and welcoming. We were welcomed with fresh lime on our arrival. They both had great knowledge about the area and guided us on some amazing places to visit and referred some outstanding wineries. The location of Waimahu was just what We wanted and the views were breathtaking, we woke up each morning with spectacular views, the linen in the room was world class clean neat and well equipped rooms. Highly recommend this place for a gateway and such a lovely experience. Thank you Julie and Brian for your amazing hospitality and will surely come again.

Four nights spent at what felt like a home away from home at Waimahu Retreat. We loved the relaxation, the panoramic coastal views and our warm, engaging hosts Julie and Bryan. Both hosts helped us interact and immerse with this picturesque Matakana Coast community. They offered us wonderful insights, hidden gems and local fins such as breweries, coastal walks, restaurants and outstanding wineries. We felt like we were visiting friends with the personal touches offered in this charming, well appointed home. We experienced comfortable beds, divine linen and towels and delicious breakfast made for us from local fresh produce and home made bread! Out hosts have created a unique experience that reflected all our individual needs and requests. A truly memorable stay with genuine hospitality in abundance. We will be back!
