The Surrey Hotel

Was surprised there was no kitchen only place to fill jug was in the bathroom sink. Rooms: 2 queen Beds were very comfortable

Loved this hotel! Has a pub for meals, the staff are easy to deal with and super friendly. Comfy and great prices too! The pool is a bonus if you have kiddies get them in there and burn some energy. The rooms are really nice too! I preferred to stay away from the main suite which I think ended up being better but make sure you get in early if you want a spot in that car park.

Absolutely terrible. Stayed her for 1 night had come from Northland and heading south. Had been out of internet range the past few days so really needed to catch up on emails etc. No internet in our room. For $185 per night I would expect internet coverage. My daughter camped by bedroom door to get a weak 2-bar signal on her phone. I ended up in the restaurant to watch a movie on my laptop. Place was dirty. Room size was good but there was mould on the windowsills and stains on the carpet and ants on the floor by the beds. Felt unhygenic. The TV wasn't connected in our room, the staff came and fixed the cabling only to discover the remote didn't work propoerly and had to change the channels manually. No sky or netflix, just standard TV. Very disappointing! Please beware this is not as advertised. Run-down, no internet in room, and dirty. Would never stay here again.
