That was a very unusual experience. We sat up at the kitchen bar and were totally ignored by the 3 staff working there. No hello , no just a minute no acknowledgement at all . After what seemed like for ever we got up and walked away and went somewhere else no one batted a eyelid.Maybe these guys arent in the hospitality game!Bizzare. Just had a great meal at Tokyo club.

This is the worst Filipino inspired food I have ever eaten. My partner and I ordered the chicken crackling, spring rolls, beef brisket kare kare, pork sisig and bicol express. The chicken crackling had nothing crackly about it, it wasnt even chicken crackling. Its chicken skin dipped in batter and fried so the inside is extremely chewy and oily. My partner and I had to spit out because of how disgusting it felt in the mouth. The spring rolls tasted awful, it had a terrible aftertaste, like something was rotten. I dont know what it was, but something definitely wasnt fresh. It was 13.50 for TWO pieces of spring rolls that were filled with 95% rice noodles, the meat was literally specs here and there. The pork sisig had an overwhelming pork liver taste and it was so saucy, it looked like it came out of a can. I wouldnt have been able to tell this is supposed to be sisig if I had been served this blindly. Bicol express did not taste like one, it didnt even feel like it was inspired by it, I could not find the flavours. My first two bites did not even have pork but just jackfruits. That sweetness really tasted awful with the dish, I had to spit it out as well. The beef brisket kare kare was the most decent one, the beef was extremely tender and fall apart and I loved the crispy fried eggplants. But the colour really threw me off when it was served to me, it had a greyish colour for the sauce and I was initially confused on what this dish even was. The sauce was slimy and I wouldnt have liked the taste if it wasnt for the shrimp paste. Total was 127$ and this did not feel worth it at all, we really felt disappointed by this.

Have eaten here a couple of times and have really enjoyed the food and the relaxed vibe. The kare kare is excellent, as are the pancake, the Hawker roll and the bao.
