Had a pretty negative experience with Madison and I would not recommend them to anyone. As a new arrival to NZ, I was struggling to find work due to my visa type (working holiday). I was referred to Madison by a friend and I thought they could help. Thought that contract/temp work could be a good fit for me. I had a phone interview with a staff member where afterwards I was sent what I can only describe as an exam. It consisted of Word, Excel, typing test and a copying test. I am pretty computer literate, but it was difficult. What made it worse, was that it only gave you one chance to get the right answer, and if you clicked anywhere on the screen that wasn't the right step, it automatically failed you on that question. Extremely frustrating. Can't imagine someone with less computer knowledge or limited English would know what to do. Afterwards, it's like Madison fell off the face of the earth. No contact. Not even a courtesy email with my results of the test. Not even to say they don't have any positions available for me. Almost a month later, still no word from them. I ended up finding a job on my own and I'm very happy, but sad I wasted my time with Madison.
