I went to this shop for the first time this last week. I started needlepointing during lockdown and the store that I had been getting my supplies from had closed down. I was not really surprised as the lady who owned the store was really grouchy and mean. I would put off going in and often would over buy supplies so I would not have to go back again. I did not know of another shop that sells the needlepoint wool and I was going to be in the area. The shop is beautifully organized, and thoughtfully appointed. I talked to the lady working and while she doesnt needlepoint she looked at the wool I had and was able to identify how many strands it was and showed me what would work for my project. She was delightful and kind. It seems like a great idea for anytime I am doing a large area and I am will definitely shop there again in the future. Its one of those businesses that are the best. The kind where the people who work there clearly have a passion for the work and for helping others. If you find yourself needing wool, this is the place to go. I also find the wool to be of an exceptional quality and moves through the needlepoint canvas better than some of the wool that is specifically made for needlepoint. I have also had less issues with the wool fraying and being thinner at the end. Really an exceptional shop.

Wild & Wooly Yarns was exactly what I expected & wanted when I walked in. Lots of beautiful natural & locally sourced wool. The young owner was both knowledgeable & willing to give me her opinion when I inquired about one pattern & choice of wool vs another. I went away happy!
