Eat Crawlers

The crickets and mealworms are my favorites: they taste a bit like tree nuts, and they're perfect for a quick snack. The ants are also excellent, they add a nice lemony flavour to a salad. And the scorpion lollipops are great fun at parties, they draw quite a lot of attention! My son's a fan of ants, so we asked to visit Eat Crawlers' kitchen. Louise and her team were very welcoming and professional, and we got to see how much love and care they put in their products. This is a wonderful kiwi company, I highly recommend it!

Bought the chocolate covered scorpions and I'm not gonna lie. They tasted horrible . The experience is cool but it's exactly what you'd think eating bugs is like

Was nervous about trying something new like this, but really pleasantly surprised by the taste once I got over the look of them. Saw Eat Crawlers at the Auckland Food Show last year. Mealworms (with the teriyaki flavour) are my favourite. Dried insects like this don't taste like you think they would, they just taste like a regular crunchy snack. Have also tried the cricket flour in my baking and that is great too. Louise is really easygoing to talk to as well, helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely buy more!
