North Harbour Vets

Our Muschi of 20 years inherited us and she never had any health issues. We just visited NH Vets twice, a month ago to have her nails trimmed and last week where her body was just shutting down. From the reception to veterinary staff, all extremely helpful, loving, caring and empathetic. Highly recommended and Thank You to You All

Only reason Im giving 2 stars is because of the amazing vet that helped my partner and I during our time there. We put down our blessed 15 year old dog today, the vet we dealt with was kind and answered all questions, but what Ive been told is a owner/vet was LOUD and yelling during the time we were saying our goodbyes, and came into the room to grab a box when we were saying our final goodbyes!?! He couldnt have waited 5 minutes?! He had no sympathy for what was happening and genuinely didnt seem to care about the general rule of let owners say their goodbyes in PEACE, there was NO ONE else at the vet during that time so I cannot think of one good reason he had to yell during our precious dogs final moments while I was sobbing my eyes out. Im pretty sure one of the vets assistance actually had to tell him to be quiet because of what was happening! I definitely do NOT recommend this place while this man has ownership. Saying goodbye is one of the hardest moments you ever have to go through when you own a pet, and he completely trashed what was already an extremely hard time. I have also been informed that when my dog had cancer, he was excited because he hadnt seen something like what my dog had??? Absolutely disgusting. I do not recommend this place, wholeheartedly. But to the vet that did help us, you are a saint and an angel.

Nick is fabulous, great with our large energetic dog, and awesome with our cats. Spends time providing helpful education, and you can see he really loves what he does.

I have received nothing but the best care from Nick and the team. I have been coming here for many years and always received the best treatment for my pets. Nick is very knowledgeable and offers options which i think is important. Nick also has experience with Rabbits, which is hard to find in NZ (as ownership rates are so low).

My parents have been going to the previous vet for all our pet needs for years. However with the new vet they have found him to not have the animals best interest but his finances. Weve been traveling and needed our cats to be vaccinated so we thought wed try this vet ourselves. Upon arriving a tad early to the practice, all we hear is gas-bagging by the staff in the back (loudly so we could hear). There were no other patients in the waiting room, and they went on in the back while we waited. I completely accept waiting if they were busy, but not when they were just gossiping. The vet is the typical macho man who loves to mansplain. I can see he is good with the animals, but I dont appreciate all the procedures and products he tried to sell us when weve only attended for vaccinations (and we have common sense). Since then, weve gone to another Vet down the road with a wonderful experience. Shame as this practice is within walking distance from our house.
