HARTLEYS (Mairangi Bay)

Terrible experience. We have been loyal customers of this store for years and are utterly appalled at the behaviour of the owner today. I was yelled at over the phone how I was "incorrect" by my account of events of my grandmother being treated poorly by staff when trying to return a garment. This was being returned less than 24 hours after purchase and despite the owner knowing this was a garment for my grandmother to wear to her sons funeral, she was treated very unkindly in the store and was horrendous on the phone to me. I'd like the owner to consider the circumstances of the event and internally reflect on her actions and how her customers might be feeling after the horrendous week we have had. I will be investigating to take complaints further. Edit: Your response is not appreciated.Whist you are entitled to respond to a review in attempt to defend yourself, do not try and claim the conversation was something it was not. Yelling was most certainly involved on your behalf, and you had complete disregard for the sensitive nature of the matter given it involved a grief and preparations for a funeral. That does not appear to be a sufficient display of customer service after being in the industry for 30+ years as you say. Again I suggest reflecting on your actions and taking accountability.
