Not sure what is worse the contact over Facebook or in store. Friendly staff but also poor customer service. Having gone 9yrs not needing a carseat and expecting a new baby I was overwhelmed with the options. With no help from Baby Factory I came to BOTM for advice as they were recommended on the NZ Carseat Discusssion Geoup. Plus I had great service 9yrs ago (previous owner). I knew I needed a seat to take my baby from birth upwards and wanted to bypass a capsule. I was recommended the Graco Triogrow to give some room in the front of my car. I'm thankful of being allowed to use the old layby system over apps but when I asked for bank account and invoice they kept saying they would email it and I never got it. I was close to my due date and in a panic over not having it paid off and no seat. They ensured I would have a seat even if I didn't pay it all off. In the end I paid it in full and had it installed. There were alot of people having carseats done and I had to wait a while. However during installation it was discovered that my partner hadn't out the belts back in properly post a fishing trip so whilst I fixed them up and wasn't paying attention the seat was installed and I was sent on my way. I have no idea how to actually install the seat properly or anything. Whilst I can read the manual yes but visual learning is also a big key thing for many. It took me a while to get invoice sent they said they emailed it; I needed it for insurance purposes to put it on my car insurance after callings them and finally being sent it I soon learnt why I never got any emails they had my email address written wrong! Never mind I sent it to them many times. I then learnt when I had my baby there wad a slip in the cover on the seat. I sent photos and told them about it and they were baffled told me to call in to sort it out however it's not a close drive for me with a baby to do ao. On the times I have gone out that way and decided to kill two bird with one stone and do all business in the area they have been closed every single time. I've laid complaints with Graco Nz and Graco USA and no way cany I get this seat fixed. Shy of going the legal path of Consumers Act I don't know what to do. Definitely won't go back again. As others have said store is very cramped with alot of stock for a small space making it hard to move when pregnant let along with a baby. Parking isn't that good either for doing installations in.

I was at botm a few days ago looking to get a diono 3rxt but the girl a who worked there tried to talk me out of it saying: 1. Head flop is an issue RF (I know its an issue FF) 2. Its a hard install with the angle adjuster because it takes 15 minutes just to get the angle adjuster in 3. The angle adjuster is compulsory because 4. The angle adjuster makes the seat LESS upright in RF 5. The head wings cant be adjusted up and down I did a lot of research on this seat and I knew that none of this was true, but my poor mum got scared out of buying it thinking it would be hard to install. The staff here need more training, and they shouldnt be going untrue and unsafe information to customers. On a previous occasion I was buying a high chair here and the girls didnt know how to take the tray off, and pretty much took the entire chair apart and told me thats how you take the tray off. Only giving them a few stars because they price match and the girls are nice, despite their wrong information
