Manning Funerals

We recently engaged Manning Funerals to look after all aspects of the funeral arrangements for a much loved husband, father, father in law and grandfather in our family. Martha-Louise, the owner of the business, was our point of contact and was personally involved throughout. The service that she and Manning Funerals provided was excellent. Dealing with the death of a loved one, irrespective of the circumstances surrounding the person passing, is emotional and sad. Martha-Louise is a very caring person and is experienced in assisting families in navigating the funeral process and related legal requirements in a sensitive way that is responsive to the particular needs and wishes of the surviving family members. Martha-Louise is deeply respectful of the deceased, flexible in accommodating the wishes of family members including to view the deceased in her Funeral Cottage and is readily able to accommodate different styles of celebrating, reflecting on and remembering the life of the deceased in the funeral service. In all of our interactions with her, we got the sense that Martha-Louise views her role as an act of service to the deceased and their family at a difficult time, rather than being a business transaction. We feel fortunate that we found her as she provided to us exactly what we wanted, for a transparent and reasonable cost, in a kind and caring way. It will be clear from the above that I and the other members of our family would highly recommend Martha-Louise and Manning Funerals to others.

Martha-Louise looked after our mother and her funeral arrangements after she passed away suddenly 6 months ago. It has taken me a while to write this review as I think any sudden death takes time to process. I cannot speak highly enough of the care and support that Martha-Louise showed to me through navigating the immediate aftermath of mums passing, the various tasks that needed to be dealt with, and the organisation of her funeral. I will be forever grateful for the way mum was looked after by Martha-Louis and how she helped me organise a funeral that was truely a celebration of mums life in full colour! We cannot thank Martha and Leasa enough for looking after us during this time of grief. They are so personable, understanding and went above and beyond their job for us and our needs/wants.
