SULIN Hair Salon

A while ago I was there for a simple hair highlighting/colouring session which I had been doing regularly every 3 months at other place. Firstly, the stylist that I booked didn't turn up and I was told by her staff that she is on leave on that day! But when I made the booking directly with her via WeChat she asked me to make it half an hour late as she needs to drop her daughter off to school. I would have cancelled the appointment right at that point if I was not going overseas the next day which I regret so much later. The stylist firstly asked me to add a treatment which I have never been asked to at other place - she insist it's necessary for all clients that comes to do the hair coloring. Later towards the end the stylist tried to sell me all sorts different products, almost pushing and forcing it. When I refused to buy the products, the stylist looks very unhappy making me very uncomfortable. I was charged for over $600 at the end, I was so shocked because the same job at other place usually only cost me $230. I questioned about the breakdown of the cost, the treatment that she forced me to add on was $100 which she didn't tell me, and I was advised with this crazy total, that's how much they usually charge and it's very " common" for clients requesting the same service in this salon. I walked out in disbelief after paying, and later received comments from my family asking if I had been to the hair salon today because it looked the same! And my hair was never as dry after the first wash, whatever treatment that I had been given not only didn't work but damaged my hair so badly. I had been bleaching/coloring my hair on a regular 3 months basis over the past 3 years and never had problem like this. It took at least 6 months before it got better again. I have known a few people who have been overcharged with hair coloring at this salon both in the Newmarket and Sylvia park store. We will not recommend this place to anyone. I got my hair curled today from Sulin. I had a good experience with this hair salon because the staffs were very friendly and mostly important my hair turned out very good and cute. Would definitely recommend my friends to this place

For 2.5yrs I have been going to the Sylvia Park branch, this was my first experience at Newmarket and JayCee (JC?) did my cut & style. My hair is pixie/short and layered & I have struggled for years to find a place that understands what I want! Highly recommend this place for top-quality service, they're amazing!

The worst hair cut place Ive ever been to, the worst value whats so ever. The hairdresser passed me a list of things they have done, the price was $500 in total, and all I asked for in the beginning was a simple hair cut and a perm. The hairdresser was also forced me to take a photo for his instagrams page after the hair cut which I found really annoying.
