I spent almost 3 weeks there (lockdown context) and had a very bad experience. No cleaning at all was done during my whole stay, I got intoxicated because of the fridge that doesnt work properly (goes from cold to frozen anytime), the heater did not work in the room it was very cold during the night, no full curtains (meaning as of sunrise room was full of light), I wont enumerate all the issues I had there already described in previous comments... But the worst thing was the human experience with the manager. She was friendly just to take the money from my banking account, I met her once to renew one week (lockdown) she did not even say hello, how are you doing. She just ordered give me the cash and left, a unique experience in 6 weeks in NZ ! While I spent almost 3 weeks there and had to leave for a mercy flight, I was supposed to get a refund for the 4 last nights already paid but the manager did not keep her promise. I left the keys and much supplies for the next guests in the kitchen (she was not there for the checkout) but she tried to charge me 400$ from my account as she did not find the keys. Can you imagine that ? Its a shame that such unprofessional managers can act like this because Milford is a charming and quiet place and the neighbors and other guests in the house were nice but also had issues with the manager If you want to be in a normal place with no trouble you should avoid that place. Now I let the pleasure to the manager to reply to this comment, rude as she was for the previous guests, sure she will call me the worst person in the world or invent whatever lie to justify she did not give me my refund. But I will complain to Booking.com because using banking details to steal money from guests should not happen. I have been a genius member for many years and this is the first time such a mess happens.

If you want to be in a normal place with no trouble you should avoid that place.
