I have shopped at The French Villa consistently since it opened and have loved the store and have loved supporting a local business. No longer. I will never shop here again. My daughter purchased (in full) a wall unit in April and in June rang to say her renovations were complete and the delivery could take place. This was arranged and then two days before delivery she received a phone call to say the unit was no longer in the warehouse and she would have to wait months till the next shipment came in. This was despite being told in April that by paying in full her unit was in the warehouse with her name on it just waiting for the delivery date. The staff member even rang the warehouse to confirm this. Obviously her unit was sold from under her and presumably the company thought the new shipment would be in before my daughter needed it but they have been caught out with the shipping issues the world is currently experiencing. Ruth (the owner) could not have been less interested when I rang her and told her how unimpressed I was with their shocking customer service. I introduced my daughter to this store and felt totally let down by them. Any store looks good when things go well - the truly good stores look good when things don't. The French Villa - you definitely fall in the later category and your integrity is in question. You have lost a customer - I won't be back.
