I should have read the reviews before I decided to order. I messaged the owner after physically coming in to check the options. The person at the desk was super helpful and friendly and said all I had to do was email Chris, the owner. So I did and I didn't hear back. It was a bit of a deadline (but within their stated 2 weeks, there was an additional week on top of that) so I spent the whole week calling (he never picked up) and texting and emailing. And I got one reply on the third day, saying he would get "right onto it that day", and then nothing again. The following week I called a different company to see if it was still enough turn-around, and it was not. So now my team doesn't have a jacket for our tournament next week. I feel so terrible because i've let down my team, and I thought I could trust them because they are local to me (They have moved to Onehunga, Tmaki Makaurau), but I should've checked their reviews. All the reviews are the same, and say how they don't get back to people.

Thanks but the merchandise was for the tournament... And then the customer receives this after the tournament. If I knew that my daughter would receive her hoodie after the tournament she was playing in I would not have purchased the goods. Too late to ask for a refund Also if you had a pick up option I would have done that instead. Because it's only a 20 min drive, that's better than a 5 day wait for the courier Not happy.

Sorry Im not the sort of a review person, and had to share my experiences with Onu Sportswear. When it comes to the quality of the gears, Id give them an 8/10, especially for the price but thats as far as Ill go. From the get go, Chris the owner just didnt stay on top of his emails or messages let alone his promises and deadlines. Numerous replies of...Ill get on it first thing in the AM or will call you back after the meeting happened so many times. To sum it up - Total lack of communication and huge neglect to his customers. Id highly recommend using another company esp if you have deadlines. I wish Onu Sports all the best.

I completed an online order which indicated the shipping would be free. Following my purchase I was emailed and accused of not paying the $10 freight charge, and was then asked to transfer money directly into a bank account. This seemed a bit suspect to me. When I shared my experience, claiming that I felt it was the purchase process that was incorrect, not my omission to pay, I was told I was the only one who took exception to the process. (My fault, not theirs)To their credit, they did offer me a refund... but I later found out another client had the exact same issue as me. Guttered as I was looking forward to the Tuatara gear which was being offered at a great price... but definitely disappointed in the customer service following this confusion.
