Albany Pet Resort

Am torn on this review as I love to give 5 stars. Friendly "serious" dog breeder, but the whole system is a "black box". Lexi our 1.5 year old golden retriever stayed there for 2 weeks while we were overseas. She looked skinnier and lost 2kg during her stay, but this could be due to her having so much fun or due to her being fussy with eating (she was normal weight prior). She was very hungry when she came home (she normally is not that food driven). Her paws looked like she was on concrete most of the time and no mud to be seen. With our last kennel we were used to seeing a happy outside playing dogs video every day on their Facebook page. She probably had an amazing time, it is just with no communication or seeing facilities or play sessions it is hard to tell what happens during a stay.

Been meaning to post this a while and now I'm needing a cattery I'm back online looking. My cats have stayed in many catteries before and every single time I've been able to look at the space they will be staying in. This time I was not allowed, the person at reception stating something about the council. I queried this, how come I had been able to view at other places but not here? Was flat out refused. Makes me wonder what do they not want their customers to see. The appearance of the place is not great. I did not get a good vibe or have a good experience from Albany Pet Resort and am so surprised to see all the positive reviews. I then went to another local cattery and they happily showed me through. What does that tell you.

Thank you Anya for taking care of my Nitro even when you were all booked out, especially given I was very last minute. Appreciate that you would shift things around to fit him in. Very lenient given my personal circumstances and he was very happy when I picked him up too. Regards, Kayla
