Helensville Birthing Centre

Absolutely awesome. The staff are kind and helpful and it really takes the pressure off the first few days with your baby.

Hi, We went to Birthing Centre today we were welcomed by Louis (Sorry if I have spelled wrong). Louis took us to over room and explained us everything. Till this point we were loving it. But after this when the time came to check the Blood Pressure the problem started. The machine that was used had a small cuff and it didnt showed the correct reading. Louis tried to measure it second time but it should incorrect reading. We believe Louis didnt had proper equipment. The BP reading came high and then we were sent back to the hospital. As soon as we came back to hospital they check the BP of my wife and it was normal. We was rushed back to hospital by Louis and we appreciate that as she was concerned for my wife and her health. But I believe that staff should get proper equipment so that people who comes to the birthing unit dont have to face unnecessary problems the way we have faced. Louis did everything best to her knowledge but I believe that she should get best equipments as well so that she can do her role properly. Overall, really unhappy as we have to leave the Birthing unit without any reason and because of the faulty equipment. The BP reading cant be changed in 40 min drive. So, I guess staff will only perform well if they have best equipment and amazing training plan in place. This is just a feedback. Lewis you are doing great, it is just management who need to understand how to support their staff so they can perform better with best of their experience. Tanuj Thukral

We are so grateful to have received the opportunity to stay at the Helensville Birthing Centre and were so impressed with the level of care we received. Our room was really comfortable for the two of us plus our little man and the meals were incredible as well! A special thanks for our Christmas gift and meal! We learnt so much during our two night stay and were so well looked after. Constant support was available and nothing was ever too much trouble. We could not have asked for more. A massive thank you to all of your team!

The birthing center is a beautiful place to birth and stay. The support and care given to mum's is just incredible, and allows you to really enjoy in your new baby for a few days before going back to reality at home. The lactation consultant support is the best around! I would reccomend the centre to anyone looking for support during this special time.
