My therapist overshared her own personal information and advocated for pseudoscientific treatments. She couldn't remember what we talked about from session to session and I finally stopped attending when she told me she was "bored" because I wasn't making enough progress. When I ended the sessions she told me she would call me at a later time to discuss my reasons for leaving, but then never followed up. I later found a clinical psychologist at a different office who was science based and really helpful. I now believe that qualifications matter.
