One of the best walking trails in North-west Auckland. Amazing views all along the coast and stunning views of north harbor. The walk takes you through WWII era bunkers and air fields. There's also an amphitheater (the only public toilet is near this). Ample parking space and plenty of options for cafes/restaurants after a great walk!

It's a super peaceful walk, lots of trees and birds about. It's interesting looking at the old air base buildings too. The surface is not all paved so keep that in mind if pushing a pram. Otherwise it's a great walk and the path is wide enough to keep socially distanced from other walkers. If your out and about in Sept/Oct 2021 keep an eye out for the little fairy houses near the dog park.
