The Doctors Golf Road - satellite clinic of The Doctors New Lynn

My association with this clinic has only been since March this year, when I returned back to Auckland, having spent many years in Australia. The timing of this move completely revolved around MIQ availability, so I wasn't able to get to a Rheumatology appointment, that my long standing, Brisbane based GP had recommended. So, all testing had to be re-done and involving the Doctors Golf Rd. actually hindered, rather than helped with this process. I'll avoid the long winded details, but the final straw was when lab. results (that were previously available on the dodgy 'Manage my Health' patient portal) weren't available. The I.T. advice was ridiculous, and I was never advised by nursing staff that I had a positive result, requiring Doctor management. I get the impression that something is amiss at Corporate level with the New Lynn and Golf Rd. practices. Both Doctors I saw have since left, as has the lovely Receptionist, and the reason I was given for not having been advised of my results, was 'short staffed'. The I.T system used is not great (cheap?). Many of the functions are not able to be used for the Golf Rd. Doctors, and a system that transcribes lab. results as 'negative' when something is not actually tested, is surely misleading G.P's. Honestly, I think these practices are the bastion of last resort, as most surrounding Doctors are not taking any new patients. I had a conversation to this effect with another patient, as we stood on the foot path, locked out for the staff lunch break! (If you have a 1.30pm appointment, don't come early). Health care is too important, to trust this second rate group, go further afield.

Won't let me enrol first I have to prepay 60 bucks and go as a casual. Going to ranui for 18 instead.
