        An easy walk here from the southern part of Piha Beach. This area of the southern beach is best known for two local sites: The Keyhole (a natural tunnel), and the Gap and Blue Pools. You can easily reach both at low tide by walking along south along the water from Piha Beach. If the tide is high, use the trail from the south parking lot to hike up to Tasman overlook, then just keep hiking south past the overlook until the trail heads back down to the beach and the Blue Pool. The Blue Pool is a great place for laying in the sun in n the beach that surrounds it, and a nice place for soaking and swimming, too. The beach here is also usually less crowded and more private than the main beach area, and is sometimes somewhat sheltered from the wind. A must see when you come to Piha!
