Nearby activities: We stayed here when attending an open day at Alan Gibbs Sculpture Farm. Also spent a day exploring the Kaipara Peninsula. We found A Deer Cottage perfectly situated for the activities we wanted to do. Food & drinks: We could not have asked for a better stocked kitchen with regard to utensils, etc needed for preparing your own meal, or making up a picnic lunch (even gladwrap provided (plant based)). A beautiful bowl of fruit, including blueberries, fresh organic eggs, a bottle of wine, chocolates and much more. Noteworthy details: One of our party had allergies to dairy, nuts and gluten, but Angela went out of her way and sourced products that Ros was able to eat.

What a treasure A Deer Cottage is, tucked away near Kaukapakapa at the end of a quiet cul de sac, overlooking the Kaipara Harbour. The cottage has lovely sea views and affords amazing sunsets and stunning sunrises. Immaculately presented with high-end boutique furnishings, linen, towels, beds, bathrobes and so much more..... I enjoyed a beautiful selection of gluten and dairy free breakfast items to suit my allergies including cereal, bread, spread, milk alternative, yoghurt, fresh fruit bowl, home-made jams, fresh fruit juice, wine and individual chocolates. Nothing was too much for Angela, and she personally greeted us and made sure everything was perfect. This is good old fashioned service at a really reasonable price. Making people happy, welcome and comfortable is Angela's passion. She really exceled on all levels. You owe it to yourself to check out A Deer Cottage.
