Walkability: Lots of early morning walkers taking advantage of the view and long pavements
Noteworthy details: After calling a dozen hotels/motels due to the original motel being unable to accommodate an early check-in as they promised, I was literally tearing my hair out until Tina called me back (winning!)
I had a lovely, comfortable bed with pristine linen and the charm of a bygone era in a multi-floored art deco home. The polished floor boards, charming bathroom, and shower were inviting.
The wifi was terrific and the morning sunrise with the view of Aucklands cityscape whilst I enjoyed a provided breakfast of yoghurt and muesli was stunning.
Treat yourself and book a stay, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised as I was x
