I asked the reception lady why an appointment with a therapist costs $265 an hour and she responds by saying well, why do you pay $60 to see your GP?? Possibly the worst response to give to a potentially ill patient.

Fantastic to deal with, and Liz is very understanding and replies very quickly. Any spare parts for your CPAP ordered arrive very promptly as I snapped my mask one night and it arrived the next day which was a Saturday (I find it unbearable to sleep without the CPAP, Ive had the best nights sleep ever since using it and so has my partner) so getting it that quickly was very crucial to me - Fully recommended top rated service!

If you suffer from sleep apnea, you need treatment. What you get here is an expensive explanation of what sleep apnea is (just do an Internet search and get the same for free), told there are only two options for treatment, and a sales pitch to buy their over priced CPAP or mouth pieces ($2000 for each at Sleep Well) which can easily be purchased directly from retailers or manufacturers for between 1/4 and 1/6 of the price they give you. Save the $550 bucks and go directly to the equipment providers to try the over the counter remedies - CPAP or mouth piece. You'll get the same results and save a ton of money. In my opinion, this is a scam company that takes advantage of people who need good advice.

I called regarding an appointment for my 25 year old son, who I have discovered has been experiencing quite a significant disordered sleep pattern for a couple of years. I spoke to the receptionist about making an appointment who then proceeded to tell me it was likely due to an altered circadian rhythm related to his teenage years and needed to be reset - I again reminded her he was 25. She then advised it could be due to his tonsils, I advised he does not have any. She then asked if he did snore, I said no and then he was a healthy weight, she then proceeded to advise it was a misconception that only overweight people snore, and offered a further explanation. We finally got to making a time, at which point she advised the assessment would be via zoom, I asked at which point was the clinic planning on having face to face appointments given that other health professionals were conducting face to face with masks and strict screening - she said I was asking her how long was a piece of string! She advised there was only one doctor and he needed to stay safe, as if he gets sick so does his wife. I'll call you back thanks Mary...

I have been using CPAP through the Sleepwell clinic for nearly a year now, and to be honest I have been flabbergasted by the high level of service that is offered, and the overwhelming sincere kindness that every interaction has generated. Everyone bends over backwards to solve every problem. This is true for the staff in the central clinic in Christchurch, but also equally true for the staff in the Nelson clinic. I use both types of CPAP machine, the stationary and the travelling so have generated a range of problems and questions, all of which have been dealt with promptly, kindly, and efficiently. The level of service goes way beyond what I would expect from a health service provider. In the latest instance, they telephoned me to see how things were going. I mentioned a slight problem, which was immediately dealt with. Amazing. thank you. Duncan
