Fantastic tour with good knowledge from our guide (John) about both New Zealand and wines! As good as 2011! We are for sure coming back for a Waiheke-tour! Maj & Lars

Matakana winery together with Brick Bay and Westbrook formed a great wine tasting tour with John. He had to cancel the original trip to Piha due to the cyclone and storms, so I cant say what they would have been like, but the replacement tour was exceptional. John is very knowledgeable about the wines of the region and provided good commentary and introductions as we travelled between the wineries, as well as visits to places of interest on route. A stop off at the chocolate shop in Warkworth was a treasure chest for all chocolate fans. Sampling Matakana Syrah 2015 is a must for all red fans. Try their 2014 as well if you can and compare them, so you can see how the wine matures in the bottle if you can keep your hands off it! Their whites and rose were also very good, and the Pinot Gris at Brick Bay was a highlight for white fans. A great trip which we will look to do again on our next trip to NZ. Thanks John.
