Giving it two stars as this seems to be a systemic issue rather than the staff issue. Long story short, if you do not accept the delivery time the store sets for you (not discussed with the customer), or make any new requests, all start going astray from there. Thank you Albert the man on the phone, for sorting out the mess.

Worst experience EVER. The owner is a rude arrogant prat with no customer service ability and the reviews on their facebook page speak for themselves, avoid AT ALL COSTS. No Special price is worth it.

Ordered and paid for curtains at the Wairau Park store, in October. Its now February and they havent arrived. Tried ringing the store and no one can seem to help me and advise they will call me back. I never get a call back. Now when I try and call the store it just rings for ages and no one picks up. It feels like I have been robbed. The lack of communication is unacceptable. Ive emailed multiple times and do not get an answer for when the curtains Ive paid for will arrive for pick up. Even an estimate or an email reply back would suffice. Avoid buying anything from Freedom in store if they dont have the product to give you there and then.

I have recently bought a side table to go with an outdoor furniture we bought back in December. At the time of my purchased staff member told me item would be available within 14 working days. Because I hadnt heard from Tauranga Store I phoned asking if they had received my order. The staff member wasnt sure where it was and said she get manager to ring me back which I never heard from. So 2 days later I phoned store again, same staff member told me manager had the day off she would be back on Sunday. So I decided to question this lady why it was taking so long and all she had to say was: I dont know why is taking so long but the manager would ring me back. Again never heard from. I had one voice msg left saying they could refund me if I wanted which to me is very unprofessional and lazy way to deal with a customer. If I didnt want to buy the item I would not come to store and I would not waste my time chasing my order. So today 16/7/2023 I phoned again asking to speak to the manager (Rebecca). So she asked if another staff member from delivery centre had contacted me. I havent been contacted by anyone called Mark so she asked to give her a couple of minutes to contact delivery centre. She rang back saying a guy called Steven would contact me to organise a delivery for Saturday but again never heard from anyone. The manager was apologetic but again said she didnt know what was happening and I said it wasnt good enough as she should be the one trying to solve this issue. Terrible customer service. No one seems to know anything. They all seem to be helpful when you walk in but once we paid for it no one anta to have to deal with the issue. Unfortunately i didnt have a good experience at all and im still waiting for my order to arrive or to be contacted by the store.

I have had the same experience as the other reviewers. Very poor customer service, finally got one person who helped me get our lounge suite sorted but are still waiting for it to be delivered, it has been in their warehouse in NZ since the beginning of December 2022. This is 17 months after we brought our suite, got it after a long time of not being delivered when they said it would be, when it arrived and we tested the chairs, it was found that one was defective so couldnt use it, also the foot rests didnt align up with the side of the chairs, the leather wrinkled within 3 weeks and we paid extra for an upgrade. Took 4-5 months of writing emails to get someone to come and have a look at it. Finally got some answers and it was decided to replace it. New suite suppose to arrive end of September, rang them beginning of December, was told it had just come in!!!!!!! We are very fed up with no one answering their customer services phone, we have rung repeatedly with no answer, I have also emailed to their customer service email address with no answer. How do we get our furniture when no-one will talk to us? Then when they do and arrange with us to be home for the delivery, it doesnt come!!!!! Very very poor service.
