(Translated by Google) It is an apparently abandoned place. It's not enough to be a track. It's more like a coastal path.

Very beautiful walks but long as! We've repeatedly gotten lost on the tracks as there is very confusing signage and indistinct paths that turn out to be dead-ends (e.g Puketutu Island, access from Ambury Park, etc). Still worth giving it a shot if you plan your route carefully though. We have even brought the bikes which was a rewarding experience.

I walked out to Puketutu island, thinking I could walk around it - but unfortunately not. Most of it is private so you can only walk a limited way around the edge. There are no public facilities (e.g. caf or toilets). Its a lovely area with lots of trees and birds, particularly water birds including black swans. Theres even a small bird sanctuary fenced off. Unfortunately there are lorries constantly thundering along the causeway, because theres a quarry on the island. But a nice walk, nonetheless.
