        This place has closed down. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR GOOGLE MAPS ENTRY! We diverted and drove all the way to the address, couldn't find the entrance, so I rang you, and was told you are permanently closed! Also there are brown tourist signs along the route, directing visitors to a non existent winery experience!!

        Great winery with rich history behind it. Good selection of wines that distributed around NZ and worldwide too. All wine selections are rich in flavour and aftertaste. In addition, they are very sustainable- all wine bottles are made in NZ. Villa Maria wineries are buying their wine bottles from local businesses, which is addition bonus for them and local businesses- they support each other. Loved the wines, had a great time
