House of Beds

Arrived at the store after a 30min drive, a couple days ago, lights on but doors were locked (just after/around mid day) waited for five mins, no one there, then rang the store twice and no one picked up. No signs on the door saying where the staff were or when they would be back. Waste of time and gas 1hr total commute for nothing!

We had family from overseas visit and had been meaning to invest in a new bed for my partner and I. We ditched our old bed in the guest room and bought a Comfort Plus Super King matress, base & headboard from the Manukau store. It was apparently medium but since getting the bed we've had a sore back and it felt more like a hard bed. Family arrived and we got really busy as you do, persevered that back pain. I had it on my list to exchange the bed. Today I ring and am told that I have missed the exchange period by 10 days. This is my own fault I know, as I thought it was a 3 month exchange policy however its actually 4 weeks. I didnt want a refund. I wanted another mattress, willing to upgrade even. Would have been nice to be given an alternative. Surely this bed is in way better nick than the samples on the floor. Now im stuck with having to privately resell a $1849 bed used for 5 weeks with a matress protector and probably end up spending more money at Harvey Norman where we originally looked before seeing House of Beds out their window. Loss loss loss for this Stay at home mama Pros: Good size, looks cute with plain base & headboard Cons: Uncomfortable, really strong smell prob from production and materials, takes time for smell to air out

Bought a bed from Manukau Supa centre store. Service excellent, delivered on the day I requested and the help I received from the store staff choosing the bed turned out to be the right advice. Thankyou.
