This place has a lot of potential, however it seems to be a hideout for some close friends or more of a man cave at the moment. It is really a hideout, you walk into this very narrow space to go around the back of the building. At one point I thought I was inside someone's backyard and almost turned back. Props to the worker, the minute he saw me he asked me if I would like some shisha etc. However there were no menus for food or shisha. To get drinks you would need to go to the main bazaar/shop inside. The shisha he wanted to make for me was based on what information I knew about shisha. Being mindful here, not everyone knows shisha like I do or the worker does. This can pose a problem, a menu is very essential to gauge the customer experience and understanding around the flavours available. Even shisha flavors like magic love etc, don't paint a picture of what the customer will actually experience. The images in the review are not what it looks like fully. The full picture is that it's a bit messy and unorganized. It wasn't welcoming, it was a bit dirty, there were things on the floor. The chairs/tables were not neat/even or tidy. Pillows were in random spots and so on. This place can quickly become a really awesome place for people to enjoy shisha in North Auckland, you're the only branch available. You have the upper hand compared to every other restaurant/caf, so many people have adopted shisha into their lifestyle. What works for customers is a comfortable space to sit at. Possibly some centre pieces etc. for viewing purposes, as this is in an isolated area it can quickly become very claustrophobic looking at the same things. Your recycle/reuse method is excellent, I noticed many of the things you have are not new and instead refurbished. This is the kiwi way! Going green is excellent and you're doing an awesome job. Everything I say is obviously a suggestion, like I said you're doing awesome, and this is your business. However, customers don't go for shisha only because it is flavourful and mind-numbing, but to relax and not worry about the next few hours. People enjoy being treated like royalty, having menus, shisha, drinks, meals and so on served to you is a feeling on another level. Music and entertainment is really important also, we are constantly being stimulated on our phones. If you create an unforgettable experience, word of mouth as well as social media shout outs increase foot traffic. I think you're awesome people with a great vision, I wish you the best of luck.
