        I bought a beautiful gift card for my daughter in Escapade, and then foolishly left it on bench on the high street. When I went back it was gone (no surprise there really) and I went back to the shop, just on the off chance that someone may have handed it in. They hadn't. I went to buy another card to replace it and the owner gifted this to me. It wasn't about the cost of the card, but to me it showed a really generous gesture that wasn't at all expected! Thank you Escapade, lovely to receive such an act of kindness

        Havn't been to Waiheke for 20+ years, but on the TO DO list to get a Golliwog or 2!! Love it had one as a kid, can't see anything racist in them, they are a doll after all. PC BS gone mad. Stick to your guns and don't back down with the s..t stirring trolls. SB needs a history lesson on where Golliwogs originated. Look in the mirror SB and you will see the racist staring back at you!

        Am appalled that the owner thinks its okay to sell offensive dolls that mock people. Thats why the African American tourists were shocked. Those dolls do not represent chinmey sweepers they were designed to mock the African Americans. Will not shop there
