Wheels on Waiheke

Well we booked our rental for Auckland anniversary and the weather turn horrible...so we had to cancel but was issue with a credit instead of refund, we were told that we should use the credit within a month...how could someone who's houses were flooded use this within a month....."Not good customer care"... When we tried to email if we could use our credit for our April trip...we were told credit has expired .....so frustrating....will not use them again...

We hired a car from Wheels on Waiheke for a long weekend. Quite shocked when started to drive after night fall and realised that one headlight was burned out and the other was dim. Additionally, the boot latch did not work and the boot lid kept popping open. The car was not well maintained and dangerous to drive. Rental cars are supposed to be maintained to a high standard but this one was not. We were stopped by police in Oneroa because of the illegal condition of the car. We were not ticketed as the car was a rental. No response from the company after I wrote to complain. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Tried to postpone a booking due to the cyclone. All I got was a email of their terms and conditions (which was their way of refusing any kind of refund or postponement). I couldnt believe theyd treat a regular customer like this so tried to contact them again by email, no response, and ph calls got hung up on before saying anything. Use anyone except these guys.

Don't hire from this outfit. We hired a vehicle from this outfit on 24th Dec 21. We were thoroughly disappointed with the quality of service and the price charged on vehicle that was rented out to us. The prices at the adjoining counter was cheaper than what we paid and the vehicle that we were offered was a rickety old vehicle. When I pointed the price difference, the owner rudely brushed me off.
