Perfect spot for a rugged outdoor experience for some soft townies It is a basic camp (no showers, composting toilets and no bunk room for Leaders, but its a favourite with our Scout group because of the simplicity and the fires Some great fire cooking skills came out on our weekend. Kapai!

Excellent scout camp for small group camp in rooms. Two rooms are suitable for kids to sleep in. Boys in one, girls in the other. One room takes 10 to 14 kids if they sleep on their mats without stretchers, the other about 10. As male leaders, we slept out on the covered deck, which is okay as long as the rain doesn't blow in. Tents in winter are not advisable as ground is a bit boggy. Also need to avoid driving vehicles off the drive, as can easily get bogged down. Plenty of firewood for the open fires for outdoor cooking, but you need to take axes to chop it up. Activities can be run on the camp, or if you have enough vehicles then a small trip to the nearby waterfall with swimming hole is well worth it. Camp has a well appointment kitchen, with dining on the deck. Two long drop toilets are round the back.
