Lack of transparency, surprise costs and high fees. We left feeling taken advantage of by Ann and Q2. So glad we left when we did. So many things not looked after behind the scenes. They knew this, but kept creating more work for themselves by not implementing a better system so they can sting us with a higher bill every month. Unfortunately Q2 lost our trust

Unfortunately I did not have a very pleasant experience with Q2. I booked in an appointment with Ann, because I need an accountant to help me with my GST and tax filings for my company and eventually also with business planning. I wanted to speak about my needs and find out about the pricing of the services that they could offer me. While Ann asked me a lot of questions about my business and kindly gave me a taste of her business advice during the talk already (of which I took quite a lot of useful information home with me), this was not what I was there for. I wanted to find out about the services they could give me and how much it would cost, so that I could compare different quotes and decide which accountants best to go with. She also made me feel quite uncomfortable during our talk. One of the first questions she asked me was how I got to their office. When I mentioned that I came by bus she responded something along the lines of: "Oh is that because of affordability? Because our services are not affordable". During the whole talk she kept assuming that I did not have enough money and even gave me life advice like telling me that I should get a part time job. Even though I am sure it was meant kindly, I think it was very assumptious and rude and felt like she was treating me like I was an applicant for their services, rather than them being one of the many accountants that I am interviewing to see which one would be the best. It is up to me how I make and spend my money. If I don't have the money obviously I am not going to be able to purchase her services and if I do, then obviously she has nothing to worry about. So I am definitely not going choose Ann to be my accountant.
