The Hangi Master

Amazing experience beautiful kai and Rewi was very generous to our whnau! The hangi had that reaaaal hangi taste and fed our entire whnau and we even had some left over for breakfast. Thank you Rewi! Wipane whnau

Note that this is not a retail store open for retail meals, they do Hangi catering and came very highly recommended. The list on the website said that do earth oven kai, which may mean it's a clay oven vs a real hangi, but that is me just guessing from the description. Note that there is a Hangi oven invention that is called Hangi, made from stainless steel but it doesn't have the same hangi flavor from traditional hangi, so this one looks like it is closer to the authentic one. I chatted to them online via Facebook and they were fast to reply and super helpful and great service. This map listing previously had said that this location was closed, which is not true, but possibly the listing of an address made people think that it is closed down. I believe they would be deal for catering for a big party, or event etc. but it isn't some address to drive up to and order a feed.
