        Having tried many of the specialty cake shops in Auckland, I can unequivocally state that the birthday cake I ordered for my partner from Catroux (Passionfruit, Passion Curd, Caramelized White Chocolate Buttercream) was the best and most reasonably priced cake I have had for a very LONG time. I'll be back for my birthday cake :)

        I've had good and not-so-good experiences here. But the last visit was lovely - not too busy for a Friday, delicious salads and yummy menu. Will be going back for the haloumi scrambled eggs with chimichurri and chilli salt - sounds delish! Great vegetarian options too.

        Came to westmere off my normal track and had lunch here. At Catroux. Very enjoyable sandwiches and shared a lemon pistachio treat. I found the coffee excellent which with all press I am not normally so effusive. Well worth the trip. Staff pleasant and place clean. Cost $$
