Western Springs Lakeside Park

A very beautiful park for family visit

It was really lovely to take in the lake & scenery at western springs. Even more enjoyable after seeing all the effort gone into cleaning it. Also witnessing the effort put in to keep the water at the correct level by the maintenance team doing the repairs to the retaining walls was really awesome too. Great job guys! What I ddnt realize was the change in the feeding regulations for the "springs". Seeing the posts that encouraged people to feed the birds birdseed etc only, instead of bread, came as a complete shock to me. (That shows you how long since we've been down there!) But it was great to have those posts there so we could be informed. So even though we did bring bread, we followed the guidelines and crumbled it to a very fine crumb before feeding the birds the bread ON LAND and NOT in the water. You can also see the kids playground has had a few upgrades because it was well utilized by all the children. So well done to the team who are in charge of maintenance and care of this site! Kudos to you all for all your hard work!
