I had high hopes for this fine dining restaurant, especially given my past experiences at some of the world's best 50 and Asia's best 50 restaurants. However, my visit was a complete letdown. There was no communication between the chef and guests, which was a disappointment, as I was expecting a more personalized experience for a meal that costs $375+ pp. I had hoped for a $190 pp wine pairing that would complement my meal, but unfortunately, there was no in-depth introduction, and the wine didn't pair well with my food, I wonder if the sommelier who design the pairing had ever tried the food, or was it even designed by a sommelier? Not to mention the $50 staff charge, and guess what, they even charged for my bloody warm water. The prices were exorbitant, and I felt like I was being ripped off. To make matters worse, the open kitchen's hygiene was not up to par, which was concerning. The knives had rust stains on them, using takeaway plastic containers and those blue tissue towels seemed out of place in a fine dining establishment. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable fine dining experience. This money could have been well spend at other restaurant.

The food was good, and novel, and the experience was fun and unique. However the food wasn't mindblowing, which is kind of expected when you are paying over $900 for 2 people (including 2-3 drinks each). Some of this extreme price came from surprise charges, like $50 for "optional staff supplement", which was never made an option for us. Or $14 for water. Or when they took my card and used paywave, despite it enacting an $18 paywave charge. For the price you could have better food (albeit a more standard dining experience) at other fine dining restaurants 2 or 3 times over. Not recommended.

I came and ate here with my sister a few months ago, and Im still reeling from the experience. We wanted to celebrate something special. You are kept waiting outside in the cold until they are ready to accept you. Inside the atmosphere is high end, the food and service is fine dining but overall the food is truly underwhelming - at the end we were trying to remember what was dishes were really memorable. What completely destroys the experience is at the end they hit you up for another $50 per person surcharge for "additional staff" required to put on the experience you are given. You are given the choice not to pay so why are they asking for it and you feel embarrassed to say no. All up we spent $400 per person. It feels like day light robbery and leaves a bitter flavour in your mouth! This week my sister and caught up again to go out for dinner to another restaurant, with high end food at under $100 and we are thinking of when we can go back. At that meal we brought up our experience at Pasture and how we wish we had cancelled and lost the deposit. Truly for all the reviews and the enticement of this different experience, Its not worth the money, and every time I get a newsletter from Pasture I keep asking myself how they are still in business - those that write glowing reviews are either failing to appreciate great food, or the reviews are fake. No other way to put it. Its a rip off. Cannot strongly recommend enough NOT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.
