We had our new kitchen bench-top supplied and installed by GFL, such a fantastic team. We had picked quite an expensive stone and were so pleased with how well looked after everything was, we were put completely at ease and had such a quick turn-around from the initial measure. For such a large piece of stone with a waterfall end, the installers took absolute care and respect while installing, and we received excellent aftercare service as well.

Benchtops finally arrived after being rescheduled multiple times. Arrived scratched, and written on (either they couldn't get their writing marks out or didn't try hard enough - but it wasn't written on when I inspected the stone prior to cutting) . Apparently they will send me out a product to remove the writing and I'm expected to put in the elbow grease. I'm still waiting for somebody to contact me about getting the scratch fixed. In general the mitres look consistent other than the two most prominent ones, and I suggested to the company that perhaps they have made an error with the cut out as I'm convinced that they have mitred 2 pieces that don't belong together. They did also cut one piece too short, and to be fair I don't know if this is their error or that of the designer, but it's a pretty significant error as the underneath is made of cheap filler (perhaps mdf?) which I wasn't aware would be there, and being cut short means that it is above the dishdrawers and it is only a matter of time before the humidity from the open dishdrawers will cause the mdf to swell. I'm going to have to fix it by taping something to protect the mdf - this could have been avoided if they had used a few centimetres more of the stone. Worst of all the 3 men delivering the benchtop just slid it into place by pushing it across the cabinetry, rather than placing it in position, which affected the positioning of the cabinetry underneath and I've had to work with my cabinetmaker to resolve that. For the money (circa $20k) that I spent on these benchtops I am disappointed.
