I was treated here for tendonitis and would not recommend this clinic, i have now had to find a new clinic (Hands On Rehab in Manukau) who are amazing. Every time i visited the physio would ask me the same questions eg "the steroid injection worked for you?" to which i always answered no, i was also asked at every appointment if i lift children daily, after explicitly saying i DONT have any children and have no interest in them. I dont know if the physio has a memory problem, thought i was a liar or is too lazy to pull up notes, she even took a patient in under my name which i thought was so strange, surely after 5 visits you know a patients name and face? I felt as though much of the appointments were a complete waste of my time, often all that was done was 30 seconds of "cupping" which had no effect on the injury other than damaging capillaries on my wrist. I was also being exposed to a roll on menthol product which was being used on other patients only a week or two after the Auckland lock down which in hindsight is a disgusting practice especially since the hands are often what transfer germs. I wasted so much time in their cheap braces that i have ended up hurting the other hand as i had to favour the right for every task for weeks. After being in a brace for one week from Hands On Rehab i have improved more than in the whole time i spent wasting at Counties Hand Clinic. The braces from here are so poor compared to the Manukau clinic and the clinic is so cheap that they cant even provide you with more than one liner even though this is obviously covered under acc payments as i now get new liners at every appointment at Manukau. I was also told here that she didnt want to give me a different brace as they were too expensive ... Im not sure if this clinic tries to do everything on the cheap while claiming on acc so as to increase their profit or what cause i cant find another explanation of such bad service. If you have an injury dont visit this clinic, you are better off driving 10 more minutes to Hands On Rehab in Manukau where you will get better treatment and faster healing.
