Dorrian's Restoration & Auckland Painting

We engaged Tommy of Dorrian's Restoration to undertake a complete restoration of a commercial building roof and a strip, reseal and repaint of a suspect block wall. The work was of a very high standard and has effectively prolonged the roof life another 10-15 years and waterproofed the wall. Had no issues in the arrangements with Tommy and have always found him to be straight up, honest and very reasonably priced over the last 20 years he has undertaken painting and restoration work on various properties for us. He has always followed up on all works and provided a guarantee to remedy any work that we are not completely satisfied with. Have not had any issues, so no hesitancy in using Tommy in future and strongly recommend him.

Hello my name is Tommy Dorrian and I do not normally reply to reviews of my company but this review by Mr Mediratta has been bought to my attention by a number of longstanding loyal customers and needs to be corrected. There were technical issues with the job but under professional mediation a resolution was reached , Dorrian Painters did complete the work . I believe Mr Mediratta who works for Finda / Yellow Pages has acted in a unprofessional manner in writing this review which attacks me more personally than the work done. In saying this Mr Mediratta still awarded my company 2 stars being Fair , after posting such bad comments I find this amusing and bizarre. Yours Sincerely Tommy Dorrian

Tommy and his team have painted my 1917 return verandah villa twice in 14 years. The prep work has always been very thorough and the completed paint job has always been of a very high standard. Tommy directs and thoroughly checks all work - if something isn't to his standard it's fixed - no questions asked. The skills of his team in building, renovating and plastering means Tommy is a one-stop shop, saving time and money. His jobs are always very competitively priced. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Tommy. When I need to get my house repainted in approx 7 years I'll definitely get Tommy & his team to do the job.

Tommy recently painted the front room of our old villa. The ornate plaster ceiling was in such shocking condition that I doubted it would ever be recovered. After a week of hard work and meticulous preparation I could have sworn Tommy and his team had put in a new ceiling. He gave the entire room a new lease of life even making enhancements to the door, fireplace and skirting boards never discussed in the quote. My wife and I were amazed by the transformation and we both feel we got more for our money than we ever should have. I will attempt to redress this imbalance shortly by inviting Tommy back to fix my DIY hallway .It was a pleasure dealing with Tommy and his team and I would have no hesitation recommending him to anyone.
