I attended here being new to the area.. Found it to be a warm space, people are friendly at a distance however very few people actually approached us. The Pastor was the first to greet us very warmly, his wife is also very lovely. I particularly liked the expository preaching style, the choice of songs was also pleasant and Christ Centred. They have a dedicated children's church during service which I found to be very special. Those are the positives however. I've attended about a handful of times and only about less than a handful of people have approached my daughter and I to welcome us. The last time I went, only one woman approached us, often it is immigrants who are more welcoming than non-immigrants. I've noticed this in general. I am a shy person but in all fairness it is the church's responsibility and duty to welcome new members. It was not a nice feeling sitting there and people just ignoring us, this usually does not happen elsewhere.. Maybe it is an Auckland thing. I also emailed the church and have had little response back, only one email but nothing further. I wanted to come back and yet have been sorely disappointed with the lack of welcome and support from this church's members. Not sure what else to say.

Great Biblical based church that does expository bible teaching. This is a church where you hear the Word of God every time. This is a church where you will grow spirituality and feel convicted. Great fellowship with other believers in Christ and a friendly, welcoming environment. If you want to hear the truth, the Gospel, then even if you need to travel a little, I highly recommend Howick Baptist Church. They don't tickle ears to please you! They tell you what you need to hear! May God bless you and show you the way.
