The young man that came to install my new oven was so lovely. He was careful removing my old and installing my new oven. He cleaned up after himself and was super friendly. He tested the new oven and even gave me a quick rundown on the different knobs etc. A real asset to your company. Highly recommend this company . Service: Electrical wiring installation

Reardon Electrical Ltd came to me as a sub-contractor through a well known appliance retailer. His task was to connect a new oven and fit a new Range hood with trunking to the outside. It transpired that the Range hood I ordered was not suitable for my premises. The electrician in charge said they had a suitable new item at their offices. He mentioned that they would go back to the office, "have a spot of lunch" and return in the afternoon. Their offices are in Kumeu and I am in Glen Eden. So on return they fitted the new appliance. and there was a problem with the outside cowling fitting in that a flap valve kept opening/closing in the wind. They took 2 weeks to remedy this (after receiving a prompt re the bill which I respectfully declined to pay until the installation problem was remedied. I then discovered that I had been charged a total of 13 man hours for the job which after deducting the range hood cost came to some $1125.00 GST inclusive. So I queried this outsize bill pointing out that one of the electricians was an apprentice. Back came an apology saying they had "inadvertently" charged the full rate for the apprentice. That meant a reduction of $224 from the original bill. Even the amended bill was very high IMHO. I suspect I paid for two lunch periods as part of the bill. However I paid it and learnt a lesson. Maybe they thought I was an old guy who had lost his marbles! NOT YET! If you come across this company as a result of buying an appliance from a retailer, I would be recommending counting the hours very carefully. I certainly will make sure who my installers are in future and would decline the services of this company.
