My Money: Mortgage Broker Auckland

My fiance and I had sold our first home and wanted to buy again. We contacted about six different mortgage advisors. Stephen called within an hour of me emailing him I was hugely impressed by his prompt contact. This definitely set a precedent for future communication with Stephen and his team. Stephen listened carefully to what my fiance and I were looking for, and helped us understand what we could borrow from the bank. He also managed our expectations on how long the process might take. In the current climate where almost all houses on the market are being auctioned at question mark prices, it was difficult knowing whether we could afford to buy again. Each time we found a house we liked, we contacted Stephen who would promptly let us know what the house was worth. These were better estimates than those from websites such as Homes or OneRoof. It was tough missing out on our dream home time after time, either at auction or because of an unsavoury building inspection. Despite this, Stephen and the team were always there to help us look forward to new opportunities. We did eventually find our dream home. Once we put the offer in, Stephen and the team made the process of borrowing super easy. This allowed me and my fiance to dedicate our time and effort on the actual house rather than the bank side of things. This whole process would have been much tougher without Stephen and the team. And for those who didnt know, it doesnt cost you the buyer a single penny. If or when the times comes to buy again, we are coming back to My Money. What a pleasant and painless experience this was. First time using a Mortgage Broker, I googled and sent emails to a bunch of Brokers. Stephen called back within a couple hours - always a good sign. I wasn't happy with the rates my bank was offering, so I asked if Stephen could do better. Stephen went back and forth a couple times with my bank when I wasn't happy with the initial offer. He escalated the negotiation with a bank manager, before returning with a better rate. Stephen was responsive throughout the process, kept me up to date and acted with professionalism and integrity. Would highly recommend to anyone that needs a mortgage broker.

My previous broker retired, and I needed a registered broker to arrange with my existing lender to extend my interest-only repayment. Stephen responded quickly to emails and had sound knowledge of what was required. He negotiated with the lender, and it was sorted out in a few days. Highly recommend Stephen to anyone who needs an efficient mortgage broker.

We got in touch with Stephen to explore options for re-fixing our home loan. Stephen was friendly, prompt, informative and provided multiple options along with his recommendation based on current offers. He also gave us some financial advise in regards to managing our different accounts to best utilise it's function and minimise interest accrual on our floating loan. We were able to lock in a competitive offer within days with paperwork finalised much earlier than we anticipated.
