Glam Camping at Castaways

Glam camping at its best! Gorgeous little tree tent held up by some beautiful native totara trees. Fully catered, delicious food with easy cooking instructions, and even left us a bottle of pinot. Nice and secluded with the only noise being birds chirping or the radio playing in the background. Romantic hanging outside bath with fairy lights lighting up the bush around you. Will definitely be going back!

I got engaged here on our first of two nights glamping in the cliff top and treehouse cabins. Its an amazing experience, but after our engagement we checked out in the morning before moving to the next cabin. We shared that wed just been engaged (literally the first people we told) and asked if we could order a bottle of bubbles to the next cabin (we were happy to pay for it, not looking for free stuff). And we were told it was too late notice (??). Pretty disappointing for a luxury experience. They did however point us in the direction of the bottle shop in town so we could go buy one ourselves The treehouse was beautiful but smelled strongly of mould so spent most of the time outside. Were very low maintenance travellers, often staying in hostels and cheap Airbnbs so I really dont think were picky. But when youre forking out so much money you expect a bit more. Would not consider for our actual wedding.
