FMG have supplied a floor as part of flood reinstatement. Damage is exhibiting after install. The flooring importer/supplier has examined and advised that FMG contractor installation practice has been incorrect and resulted in damage to flooring. FMG isnt interested in the problem and have advised, "FMG is unable to assist you with this matter as the obligation sits with the contractor responsible for completing this work". We have no relationship with the installer, we paid FMG for the insurance and FMG provided the reinstatement by employing a subcontractor. We have notified commerce commission of what we believe to be a breach of obligations under Consumer Guarantees Act. We have also cancelled policies and gone to AA insurance, lower costs and better service experience.
