My 3 cats rolled in somewhat scared. My littlest Kawaii had a big fright during a storm and hurt her head. She was so well cared for! Now it's like I brought home a different cat. Much bolder, more affectionate and playful. The other two were pretty happy as well.We will be back. Thanks so much to the team at Karakakat Cattery!

Unfortunately, the Australian Govt changed the quarantine laws the very day our cats, Zen and Brucey, landed in NZ, and so instead of 3 months they now needed to stay 6 months in NZ. Although KarakaKat could obviously not do anything about that, they have been an absolute delight - they send us regular pictures and videos of their adventures, and keep us informed as to how they are going, which has been an absolute liFeline. Prior to this whole adventure beginning, we were quite certain that, based on the personalities of our two maniacs, they were not going to mix well with others, and would need to be kept away from other cats - they had a history of being quite territorial and aggressive at home. So imagine our elated surprise when the videos started coming through of our cats in the communal area, laying down and washing, totally at peace amongst the other cats! So cool. It is fair to say that these two will look back on these days of being a backpacker in NZ with very fond memories - the other international friends they made, how fat they both temporarily got from the secret stash of food they stole, and how easily they twisted the staff around their little fingers, ah good times, good times. Although we have another 3 months to go until they can fly to join us here on the Sunshine Coast in QLD, we are very happy with them being in the extraordinary care of the wonderful staff at KarakaKat - we highly recommend it.

Great communication and facilities to look after a range of different cats. The staff we spoke to dropping off and picking up our little kitten were very welcoming and provided good information on what was provided. They even offered to show me around the facility which helped to reassure me that we were placing our kitten in good care. Well looked after, spacious room and a great location. Will be back!

Our cat had an amazing time at Karakakat. We dropped our cat off in Mid Dec over the peak period and she was there for over 6 weeks. The place was clean and comfortable for cats. All the pens have clean bedding, toys, post for the cats. The cats staying there all looked very well cared for. The team were lovely, friendly and very reassuring! While we were away, the team kept up to date with communication, they sent us videos and pictures regularly. We are glad that our cat is loved, cared for, and given pats :) our flights got cancelled due to the flood at Auckland Airport, the team were very understanding and accomodating.Highly recommend!
