        Beautiful spot! Strongly recommend. Will be here again. Only a cold out door shower and 2 long drop toilets and the toilets were very clean. Short walk down to a Beautiful beach. At full capacity the place really wasn't full. Do the red trail walk, takes 2 hours. Stunning. Spray your legs in the evening for bugs. Sound of the birds in the morning was amazing. Go checkout the sunrise from the lookout next to the campsite. 2min walk.

        A nice secluded campground, on the cliffs overlooking the beachfront campground. The track down to the beach was closed for maintenance (the Auckland Council didn't let booked campers know), however it's only a 10-15 minute walk via the road instead. Tips: The ground is flattest on the same stretch as the toilet block, but that area gets the morning sun last. The wasps that hang around the taps leave you alone if you run the water first - they're thirsty, not angry. If you're moderately fit you can get around the park on mountain bikes - but many walking tracks (see the Auckland Council website) aren't suitable for mountain bikes.
