Airport Rentals

Hired a rental car from Neil at Airport rentals, a very nice guy who gave good advice and provided a good honest service. Don't expect the latest models of car, however it was clean and tidy and did the job well during our stay. Some of the roads/gravel track's were quite challenging. The car we had was a 4 wheel drive Honda civic and we did make use of the 4 wheel drive on some tracks Neil has also put together his own gym which he allows locales and visitors to use free. Airport rentals is situated on the road 5 minutes walk from the airfield and has a car on the roof so you can't miss it. Highly recommend for convenience, honest pricing and service

Was going to hire a car through this company but overheard the abuse he was giving a couple of customers and decided to go somewhere else. Unbelievably BAD customer service by the guy (Neil?). AVOID!

- Fuel gauage was faulty (always showing completely full). When we filled the tank, it took about 40L for approximately 150-200km of driving. Even taking in to consideration the terrain we drove on, this is still significantly higher than similar cars so safe to say the fuel tank was NOT full when we picked it up. - Handbrake was very loose. Raised issues with the owner when we returned the car. Were met with abuse, similar to what has been described by other reviewers. When I asked to see odo readings or evidence of their last refuelling, they became particularly heated. Apparantely he "does not even need to rent these cars" so I would reccomend you book with someone else.

These guys were a hoot! Clearly they embrace the Barrier lifestyle and its characterful good humour. We were well looked after - and would definitely use them again!
