Took my car in to replace front brake pads. I came back to find they had replaced the entire wheel discs on both sides without consulting me and claimed it was a safety issue. I told them Any work done on my car needs to be cleared with me!!! That's not much to ask. Call me if you're gonna do more work on my car. No one likes surprises! Dean reluctantly apologised. I bought the car back twice because the wheels were flapping every time I applied the brake. They eventually fixed that but all of a sudden said my front suspension apparently now needed major work and to book my car in with them. I got a second opinion and was told by a real mechanic (my current mechanic) that my suspension was fine after he tightened a few suspiciously loosened nuts. I would score no stars but I have to give at least 1 star to post this. These guys are dodgy! I see Dean has answered to my experience. It's sad to see Dean would lie about fixing my problem for free. I agree with some of the other reviews that Dean took offence when we bought our cars back. We are not trying to insult you Dean. We just want our cars fixed. My daughter, unbeknown to me, and against my recommendations, took her car to Manukau Brake & Clutch to replace her brakes. When I found out, I called through to Dean to cancel the job but was told the mechanic had already started. I was mortified. I told Dean to call if anything changes. No Surprises! I was dreading that phone call to say they found something else wrong. Long story short, my daughter calls me later on to calm my frayed nerves. "Dad, I got the car back and the brakes are really good now. That outfit is really good. do'nt know about you but I'd certainly use them again." I told her to write a review but she's not a review person. Credit where credit's due. Thank you Manukau Brake & Clutch

I was happy with the outcome of my clutch done on my car but when mu car come back my lighter in car didnt work nor did my streering wheel that integrates to the stero wasnt going either. I rang them straight away to explain the matter and spoke to stacy which was lovely to deal with but then i had to speak to DEAN about it which i found i was going in circles and all he could do was say it had nothing to do with changing thr clutch i said but did u take the battery out he said yes so i said then somehow either a fuse or something has gone. But he would rather reflect it back to a paying customer and say i should of told them i had a silly stereo that needs to be reactivated which mad me more mad! I explained i had that samething repaired this year and wasn't going to pay someone else to fix something they did again so he said call MTA to sort the issue when all i want is my car bk to how i dropped off so dean needs to understand customers that pay them should be a priority and fix what's needed so they customer gets the car back the same way. Dean needs to learn customer service and remember people only ring bk because there not happy i will say work done on clutch is good but if something happens to your car and was working when you dropped it off make sure you trust them because ill never trust this company again.
