I approached Flooring First for a small vinyl replacement job which I thought would be too small and insignificant for them. They were extremely helpful, welcoming and provided great advice. The job was completed quickly and to a very high standard by Dale from Dial a Flooring contractor. A great experience from start to finish. Thankyou.

Flooring first is a good shop especially the owner Paul, he is very knowledgeable and knows what he is selling. The products they sell also v good. However the installer which they subbed out is not good. They have a very bad attitude and the workmanship is not good. I am listing a few main issues that they have done below, 1. The vinyl they laid on floor is either somewhere a bit short which has a gap to skirting and kitchen toe kick or somewhere a bit long that about 2mm at edge cove up which is not flat at all. I have explained to them that need to cut off the edge to make it not curved but they complained and refused and even tried to fool me that :" Some people like it cove up." 2. They also did not lay concrete matrix enough at edge which make the vinyl a bit sagging at edge. 3. They uplift the freestanding oven and cooktop and left on my brand new bench top and sink which is not acceptable. 4.When they finished the work they left lots of rubbish on my floor and some concrete on my skirting and after request of clean they refused first and after calling the shop and then they agreed to tidy up. Overall, the shop is very good with reasonable price but if you have your own installer, do not use their installer or avoid someone called "Dale", ask for someone else if possible. If you have a rental , may consider using them with caution if your expectation is not high. If it is your own property, definitely need to ask the shop for a better installer.

Thank you to the awesome team from Flooring First Manukau, and also be "thumbs up" to our team of layers who were diligent, honest and careful.
